Press the rear catch and lift the spaceball up slightly. Twist the spaceball out of its mountings.
Move the gear lever to 5th gear.
Carefully lift the spaceball out of the center console and over the gear selector lever. 
Remove the spaceball.

Installation 
Installing the spaceball in the center console 
Install the spaceball over the gear selector lever.

Move the spaceball carefully into the center console. Move the gear lever to 5-th gear.
Install the spaceball in the front mountings first and lock them using the rear mounting.

Installing the panels 

Install both the panels.
