Service Port HVAC: Service and Repair
Needle Valve, Service Valve, Replacing
Service valve (at the member) and needle valve
Removal

Disconnect the battery negative lead.

Drain the refrigerant from the system.

Remove the pipe between the expansion valve and the junction point / side member. See Pipes / hoses, replacing.
Installation
Install. See Pipe receiver drier, replacing
The needle valve in the service valve
Removal

Remove the valve cap
-
Unscrew the needle jet. Use special tool 951 1204.
Installation
Install in reverse order.

NOTE: Use only your thumb and index finger when tightening the service valve using the valve needle tool 981 1994. This is to prevent damage
to the seal for the valve.

Vacuum pump the system and leak test. See Refrigerant, draining

Fill the system with refrigerant and check for leaks. See Refrigerant, draining

Connect the battery negative lead.
Tighten the valve cap. Tighten to 6 Nm
