Removal

Removing the center console

Slide the seats backward/downward.
Apply the parking brake securely.
Shift the gear selector lever to neutral

Remove:

-

the side panel. See: Center console, replacing See: Center Console, Replacing 

-

the rubber mat in the storage compartment

-

the 5 screws

-

the panel for the gear selector. See: Panel boot gear selector, replacing, B5244T5, B5254T2 See: Transmission and Drivetrain/Automatic
Transmission/Transaxle/Shifter A/T/Service and Repair/Panel Boot Gear Selector, Replacing 

-

the side piece for the parking brake. See: Center console, replacing See: Center Console, Replacing

the rear ashtray. See: Ashtray rear, replacing, B5244T5, B5254T2 See: Ash Tray/Service and Repair/Ashtray, Rear.

Disconnect the connectors.

Caution! Protect the parking brake lever to prevent damage.

Begin by carefully lifting the center console at the front edge. Lift the console past the guide lugs Then lift the rear edge and slide the center console over
the parking brake.
