Replacing component

Replace the lock unit.

After performing this procedure See: Checking the Signal From the Door Switches, Side Doors/Verification 
 

Checking the Door Switch In the Left Rear Door

Expose the left rear door lock unit according to Front and rear doors.

Check VGLA control module and black lock unit connector for contact resistance and oxidation See: Diagnostic Trouble Code Tests and
Associated Procedures/Related Tests and Information/Checking Wiring and Terminals - Permanent Faults

Ignition on.

Close the door.
Open the door, check door switch status.
The value should change from HIGH to LOW.
If the value is OK the fault was probably caused by loose connections in the connectors.

Does the value change from HIGH to LOW?

Yes
