Remove:

the screw holding the insert at the bottom
-
the insert by pulling it straight up
-
the lower retaining clip for the gas strut
-
the bracket.
Installing the lower bracket for the gas strut
Install:
-
the bracket
-
the lower retaining clip for the gas strut
-
the insert
-
the screw holding the insert at the bottom.
Fold down the armrest on the center console.
