S80 L6-2.9L VIN 92 B6294S2 (2004)
Remove the four oil pump screws.
Carefully pry upward diagonally between the stop lugs and the cylinder block.
Lift out the oil pump.
Installing the oil pump
Install a new gasket.
Carefully insert the oil pump over the end of the crankshaft.
Note! The sealing ring in the oil pump is very easy to damage if not installed correctly.
Install four new screws as a guide.
Pull in the oil pump with drift 999 5455 PUNCH See: Tools and Equipment/999 5455 Punch and the crankshaft center nut.
Tighten the oil pump screws. Tighten to 10 Nm.
Install the timing gear pulley. Carefully tap alternately around the timing gear pulley until reaching its end position.
Note! The timing gear pulley can only be in one position on the crankshaft end splines.
Finishing
Install a new timing belt. See Replacing the timing belt See: Timing Components/Timing Belt/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement.
Install the pulley for the auxiliaries belt. Locate the steering gear on the locating pin in the timing gear pulley.
