Tighten the cooler's upper mounting with the screw for the cover opener.

Get the mounting strip and screws from the kit.

Push up the mounting strip so that the two catches (1) rest directly against the inner edge on the cover opening.

Make holes for the screws for the cooler's spring nuts through the mat.
-
Tighten the mounting strip using the two screws.
