Removal

Remove the contact reel for the steering wheel module.

Remove the instrument cluster. Refer to: Combined instrument panel See: Combined Instrument Panel.

Torque: M6, 10 Nm

Remove the center console.  See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Console/Service and Repair/Floor Console

Remove the stereo control module.  See: Accessories and Optional Equipment/Entertainment Systems/Entertainment System Control Module/Service
and Repair/General Audio Player Module

Remove the rotary switch for hazard flashers. Refer to: Switch, hazard warning flashers See: Lighting and Horns/Hazard Warning Lamps/Hazard
Warning Switch/Service and Repair.

Remove the A-pillar panels.  See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Trim Panel/Service and Repair/A-Pillar Trim Panel

Detach the switch for the air bag on the passenger side and its cable connector.  See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Air Bag/Service and
Repair/Airbag, Passenger Side
