Battery Cable To The Starter Motor Control Solenoid

Battery cable to the starter motor control solenoid.

Removal

Perform battery disconnecting and connecting.  See: Service and Repair/Procedures/Battery, Disconnecting

Remove the following items:

-

air cleaner (ACL) housing Refer to: Air cleaner housing, B6324S See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Tune-up and Engine Performance
Checks/Air Cleaner Housing/Service and Repair 

-

the intake manifold Refer to: Induction pipe, B6324S See: Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Intake Air Plenum/Service
and Repair 

1. Torque: Battery lead to battery lead terminal, 14 Nm

2. Torque: Starter motor B+ terminal, 15 Nm

3. Torque: Generator B+ terminal, 15 Nm
