Rain Sensor: Testing and Inspection

Function test for the rain sensor

Function test

Ignition in position 2

-

Windshield wiper control stalk in the intermittent wiping position

-

Spray water on the outside of the windshield (using a spray bottle) where the rain sensor is positioned

The rain sensor should start the windshield wiper function and sweep over the windshield
Hint: Carry out the function test 3 times.

If the check is carried out with continuous sprays of water, the windshield wiper will function until the windshield above the rain sensor is dry.
