Headlamp Wiper Motor: Procedures

Wiper Arm And Wiper Motor, Headlamp, Replacing 

Removal 

Preparations 

-

Switch off the ignition.

Headlamp wiper arm 

-

Lift up the protective cover over the nut 

-

Slacken off the nut a few turns. Leave the nut in place to protect the threads on the shaft journal 

-

Remove the wiper arm from the shaft journal. Use a pipe wrench supported against the nut 

-

Remove the nut and wiper arm 

-

Disconnect the hose.

Headlamp wiper motor 

-

Remove the headlamp wiper arm

-

Remove the radiator grille.

-

Remove Casing, bumper front

-

Remove Cover strip

-

Remove Shock absorbers

-

Remove Headlamp/bulb

-

Disconnect the connector for the headlamp wiper motor

-

Remove the 2 screws from the headlamp wiper motor

-

Remove the headlamp wiper motor.

Installation 

Headlamp wiper motor 

-

Position the headlamp wiper motor

-

Install the screws. First tighten the inner screw. Then tighten the outer screw. Tighten the screws. Tighten to:  8 Nm 

-

Connect the connector

-

Install Headlamp/bulb

-

Install Shock absorbers
