V40 L4-1.9L Turbo VIN 25 B4204T2 (2000)
Clean the components with compressed air.
Lubricate the cylinder wall, piston and the new O-ring with brake fluid.
Install:
-
the O-ring in the cylinder.
-
the dirt guard on the piston.
-
the dirt guard (with piston) in the groove in the cylinder.
Carefully press the piston into the cylinder. Slide it in as far as it will go using a solid, clockwise pressure movement with special tool 999 5634 Wrench

Ensure that the dirt guard is correctly positioned.
Fit the bleed nipple and tighten to 5 Nm.

Reinstall the parking brake cable; see step Replacing the parking brake cable(s) See: Parking Brake System/Parking Brake Cable/Service and
Repair/Removal and Replacement/Replacing The Parking Brake Cable.
Position the brake caliper on the holder and fit the screw. Tightening torque: 33 Nm. Attach the brake hose. Use new seals. Tightening torque: 29 Nm.
Make sure that the brake hose is not twisted.

Mount the wheel; see step Brake pads rear, replacement See: Disc Brake System/Brake Pad/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Brake Pads
Rear, Replacement. Depress the brake pedal several times. Check the brake fluid level.
