Replacing the Parking Brake Lever Assembly

Replacing The Parking Brake Lever Assembly 

Removal 

Preparations 

Ignition off. 
Remove the rear section of the center console. 

Removing the parking brake lever 

Remove 
-

the connector for the parking brake lever 

-

the 4 screws from the parking brake lever 

-

Remove the nut on the link rod. Pull off the balance spring 

-

the parking brake lever.

Installation 

Installing the parking brake lever 

-

Thread the balance spring onto the link rod.
Install the nut

-

Install the parking brake lever. Tighten the 4 screws.
Tighten to 25 Nm (A).
Tighten to 5 Nm (B).

Connect the connector

-

Adjust the parking brake.

Finishing work 

Install the center console.
