Clean the mating surfaces on the thermostat housing.
Install a new gasket on the thermostat.
Install the thermostat in the housing. Install the cover. Tighten the cover. Tighten to 17 Nm.
Install the upper timing cover.
Install the cover over the fuel rail.
Turbocharged engines: install the throttle body cover.
Fill with coolant, see Replacing coolant See: Coolant/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement.
