Self Adjustment Of Damper Motor Limit Positions

Self adjustment of damper motor limit positions

Conditions

This adjustment must be carried out after replacing the damper motor or testing a control module that has been in use.
The ECC control module carries out self adjustment of the damper motor limit positions by first moving to the front limit and then back to the rear limit.
The ECC control module registers the values of the integrated position sensors in the damper motor limit positions and stores the values. The ECC
control module records the integrated position sensor values at the damper motor end positions. The control module stores these values.
If a brand new control module is installed the self adjustment is carried out automatically by the control module while the car is being test driven at a
speed higher than 30 km/h for 15 seconds.

Settings before activation

Ignition on

-

Blower fan switch in a manual, active position (not AUTO or 0)

-

Air distribution switch in the AUTO position

-

REC switch ON.

ACTIVATION

Activate the self-adjustment function via VIDA vehicle communication.
During self adjustment the A/C switch ON LED (green) for 15 seconds. If self adjustment is complete the flashing stops if no diagnostic trouble codes
(DTCs) are stored.
