Lift the seat out of the vehicle. See:  Front seat, replacing See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Front Seat, Driver's Seat, Front Seat/Front

Note! Place the seat on a workbench. Use a piece of cloth to protect the side of the seat from damage.

Remove:

-

the knob to the side (1). Turn the knob counter-clockwise as far as possible. Use force and turn the knob further counter-clockwise at the same
time as pulling the knob out

the ring

-

the armrest (if applicable). Pull the snap ring out.

Fold the backrest forward. Open the upholstery zip fastener (2) from the lower side.
Unhook the upholstery from the lower side of the plastic panel.
Pull the upholstery halfway up the backrest. Remove the 2 springs (3) in the middle.
Lift the plastic frame (4) from the backrest. Allow the plastic frame to lie on the backrest.
