Check the brake disc surface. Check the lateral runout of the brake disc if the disc is uneven. The brake disc must be replaced if it is very worn or
grooved.
NOTE: Minimum disc thickness = 21.5 mm. If installing new brake pads, the minimum disc thickness must be at least 22.1 mm.
Checking the locating pins for the front brake caliper
Check the rubber bushings on the locating pins. Replace if necessary. If necessary, lubricate the pins with Volvo silicone grease (P/N 1161325-4) and
install them in the rubber bushings. The pins must slide easily into the bushings.
