Note! Cleaning is important to prevent lateral runout at the brake disc.

Check that the hub flange is clean.
Use steel wire or a wire brush to remove any rust.
Check the hub.
Measure the lateral runout of the hub if the hub is damaged. See  Measuring lateral runout in hub (front/rear) See: Maintenance/Wheels and Tires/Wheel
