Parking Brake Cable: Procedures

Replacing The Parking Brake Cable 

Removal 

Preparations 

-

Ignition off

-

Remove the rear section of the center console.

-

Remove the rear seat

-

Pull off the rear sill moldings.

Removing the mechanical cable from the car 

-

Release the parking brake completely

-

Remove the nut on the link rod. Pull off the balance spring

-

Remove the mechanical cable from the support

-

Remove the cable from the balance spring.

Removing the parking brake cable from underneath the car
