V40 L4-1.9L Turbo VIN 29 B4204T3 (2002)
Clean the power brake booster and the cowl panel.
Install in the engine compartment:

A new gasket on the power brake booster
-
The power brake booster. Ensure that the support rod is correctly positioned on the brake pedal

the vacuum hose.
Install in the passenger compartment:
-
The 4 nuts for the power brake booster
-
tighten to 23 Nm
-
the bolt, washer and spring for the support rod
-
The soundproofing panel.
Note! The wiring for the courtesy lighting.

The screws for the soundproofing panel.
Installing master cylinder
Install the master cylinder according to Replacing the master cylinder on right-hand drive cars with manual transmissions See: Hydraulic System/Brake
Master Cylinder/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Replacing The Master Cylinder On Right-Hand Drive Cars With Manual Transmissions.
Final check
Read off and erase any diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs).
Test drive the car according to Test driving See: Testing and Inspection/Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview.
Check whether any diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) have been stored. Read off any stored DTCs.
