Preparation
Remove:
-
the cable from the battery negative terminal. First read Note when disconnecting and connecting the battery lead See: Starting and
Charging/Battery/Service and Repair/Procedures/Battery, Disconnecting.
Removing the starter motor
Remove:
-
the screws for the starter motor
-
the support bracket for the intake manifold
-
the connector for the oil pressure switch
-
unhook the starter motor and allow it to hang.
