V40 L4-1.9L Turbo VIN 29 B4204T3 (2002)
Position the pipe (pipe coupling) directly opposite the pipe connection using a new O-ring.
Apply thread sealant 161 075 on the threads for the pipe connection nut.
Finger tighten the pipe connection nut.
Finger tighten both pipe clamps.
Now tighten the pipe connection nut: -1999 to 19 Nm and 2000- to max. 25 Nm.
Remove the lock grip pliers.
Tighten the pipe clamps: M6 10 Nm, M8 20 Nm.
Installing the delivery line on the power steering pump (B4184SM/SJ)
Install a new O-ring. Align the pipe.
Finger tighten the banjo screw.
Finger tighten both pipe clamps.
Now tighten the banjo screw. Tighten to 18 Nm.
Remove the lock grip pliers.
Tighten the pipe clamps. Tighten to 25 Nm.
Filling/bleeding the power steering system,
Fill the power steering reservoir with oil. Bleed the system. See specifications for oil grade, refer to Specifications.
