Release the control mechanism (press off the drive mechanism ball with a large screwdriver).

Remove the mounting nuts (x 6) from the windscreen wiper shafts.

Remove the assembly. Replace the control arms and /or shafts.

Grease the ball joints (grease P/N 1161037-5).

Install the assembly. Tighten the nut to 10 Nm.
Hint: Ensure that the turn points under the shafts are correctly located!

Install the panel (7 x mounting screws).

Install the wiper arm, see Windshield wiper arm See: Wiper Arm/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement.

Check the function.

Switch on the ignition.

Check that the wiper motor is in the parked position.
Switch the rear windshield wiper on and off.
