SUBJECT:
ECM DTC 2110/2210, Caused By Open Fuse F33.
REFERENCE:
VIDA/VADIS
DESCRIPTION:
Under certain conditions fuse F33 may open causing ECM DTC 2110/2210.
This may be caused by excessive power consumption on one of the circuits that F33 protects (e.g. auxiliary vacuum pump and heated 0/2 sensors).
SERVICE:
Prior to the replacement of any components the auxiliary vacuum pump should be tested for proper operation. If the pump is found to be causing the
problem it should be replaced.
Note:
If the vacuum switch sticks this could cause the pump to run continuously.
1.
Check the vacuum lines for leakage.
2.
Ensure that the pump shuts off after the initial operation.
3.
With the engine off, push the brake pedal several times to empty the vacuum system. Put the key in the ignition and the pump should start and not
run for more than approximately 10 seconds. Repeat this step several times to ensure proper vacuum switch functionality.
