Steering Wheel Control Module

NOTE:  Some variation in the illustrations may occur, but the essential information is always correct.

Preparatory work

Important information

CAUTION:

-

When a contract reel / steering wheel module (SWM) is removed and the same contract reel / steering wheel module is then reinstalled,
the contact reel does not need to be reset. Software does not need to be downloaded either. The above only applies on the condition that
the contact reel is fused while the work is being carried out.

Ensure that the front wheels and the steering wheel module (SWM) are in the same position when removing as when installing, i.e.
pointing straight ahead.

Removing the battery leads, steering wheel and steering column covers

Ignition off.
Disconnect the battery negative cable.

Remove:

-

the steering wheel as described in Steering wheel

-

the steering column covers.

Removal

Removing the contact reel/Steering wheel module (SWM)

NOTE:  Check that the contact reel is fused.
