Engine Speed Sensor: Service and Repair
Engine Speed (RPM) Sensor, Replacing

Preparatory work
Removal
Removing components
Remove the air cleaner (ACL) module.
Removing the intake manifold
CAUTION: Seal the openings in the lower part of the intake manifold. Use tape or similar.
Remove/slacken off the 6 screws for the upper intake manifold, the 2 screws closest to the front cover plate and the 2 screws against the firewall. Bend
up the intake manifold and hold it to one side.
Removing the engine speed (RPM) sensor
Remove the nut for the engine speed (RPM) sensor. Hold the radiator hose above the engine speed (RPM) sensor to one side. Disconnect the engine
speed (RPM) sensor connector. Lift up the engine speed (RPM) sensor.

NOTE: For tightening torques, see Specifications.

CAUTION: Ensure that the guides for the lower section are in the correct position.
