DESCRIPTION:
In certain model year 2004.5 S40 and 2005 S40 and V50 vehicles, water may enter the door harness, causing the harness to corrode. An electrical
problem related to door function may occur due to corrosion in the A-pillar connector.
It is estimated that less then 3% of the vehicles will be found to have corrosion in this area.
SERVICE:
The corrective action will be to grease the harness connections. In some cases, if corrosion is found, the cable harness will be required to be replaced.
