DESCRIPTION:
There may be a clicking / clonking noise from the front hubs when accelerating if the tolerances between the drive shaft and the hub are too great.
The noise may also appear when shifting from Drive to Reverse and back.
PRODUCT MODIFICATION:
New drive shafts with helix splines on the end tap were introduced into production from structure week 2007w09 (see chassis ranges above) as a running
change.
The helix splines will create a tighter fit between the drive shaft and the hub.
SERVICE:
For vehicles without the helix splines (within the chassis range in the header), apply metal adhesive, P/N 1161370, on the drive shaft splines in the front
