Standard Shaft.
Place the side of the drift marked M56 against the drive shaft seal.
Installing the drive shaft in the transmission
Install the drive shaft. See: Axle Shaft Assembly/Service and Repair/Driveshaft Left
Filling of oil
Fill new oil in the gearbox.

Seal drive shaft right-hand side, replacing
Removing the drive shaft
Due to the risk of the oil being exposed to dirt from a broken drive shaft seal, the oil in the gearbox must be changed. Drain the oil from the gearbox.

Removing drive shaft
Remove the drive shaft according to: Drive shaft right See: Axle Shaft Assembly/Service and Repair/Drive Shaft Right.
Installing the drive shaft seal
Use a jimmy bar with a flat surface. Turn the flat surface towards the transmission housing.
Installing the drive shaft seal
Note! Wipe thoroughly before installing the new drive shaft seal.
Apply a small amount of grease to the sealing lip.
