Note! Type approval of the tow hitch is in the table on page 2.

Note! A new lining mat is required for cars manufactured up to week 13, 2000. The lining mats are ordered separately for these cars (P/N
8625515).

Note! It is recommended that the work at steps 6 and 16 is carried out by two people.

Take the bracket for the trailer connector, the pipe clamp, M8 screw and accompanying lock nut from the kit.

Install the bracket with the pipe clamp, the screw and the nut as illustrated. Tighten to 24 Nm (18 lbf.ft).

Note! The bracket must be located under the pipe clamp's level section.

Turn the ignition key to position 0.

Remove the ignition key

Note! Wait at least 5 minutes before disassembling the connectors or removing other electrical equipment.
