Replacing the starter motor

Removal

Starter motor

Disconnect the battery negative lead according to Battery, replacing See: Battery/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Battery,
Replacing.

Caution! When removing and installing the battery leads, see Battery, disconnecting See: Battery/Service and Repair/Procedures/Battery,
Disconnecting.

Turbocharged engines:

Remove the intake manifold between the front cover plate and the air cleaner (ACL) housing

Remove the hose between the charge air cooler (CAC) and the electronic throttle module.

Does not apply to turbocharged cars:

-

Remove the air cleaner (ACL) housing.
