Install the hydraulic cylinder

-

Use tool 951 2923 with 999 7054, 999 7035, 999 7036 and 999 7034

-

Pull the bushing until only approximately 2 mm of the bushing steel sleeve is visible

-

Remove the hydraulic cylinder.

Installing tie rod

Install:
-

the tie rod

-

the screw with the eccentric washer for the tie rod mounting (do not tighten).

Preparations for raising the suspension (AWD only)

-

Secure the control arms down using retaining straps

-

Remove the screw for the shock absorber mounting

-

Pull the shock absorber from its mounting

-

Release the retaining strap.

Warning:  There is a risk of injury, do not place your hands in the surrounding area of the shock absorber when releasing the retaining
strap.

Raising the suspension

Applies only to All-wheel drive (AWD):
-

Press the suspension up to its normal position, see Normal position.

Does not apply to AWD:
-

Press the suspension up to its normal position, see Tensioner, instructions for use.

Applies to all models:
-

Tighten the outer mounting for the tie rod. Tighten to 80 Nm.

Note:  Ensure that the eccentric washers are positioned in the previously marked position.

Installing the shock absorber (all-wheel drive (AWD) only)
Install the retaining strap and pull down the control arms so that the shock absorber can be installed.

Install:
-

the shock absorber

-

the screw. Tighten to 80 Nm.
Remove the retaining strap.
