Hose/Line HVAC: Service and Repair
Replacing Receiver/Drier or Suction Line

Special tools: 999 5474, 999 5472

TTTN1 Before starting work on the Receiver/Drier or suction line

WARNING!  FOLLOW THE SAFETY PRECAUTIONS FOR WORK ON A/C SYSTEMS ACCORDING TO AC. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
WHEN HANDLING REFRIGERANT

NOTE!  Read the sections covering slow and quick leaks first, according to BG1. See: Heating and Air Conditioning/Service and Repair

NOTE!  When replacing the Receiver/Drier always install new O rings in pipes and quick-release connectors. Always plug pipes and couplings when
working on the climate control system.

  
Removing Receiver/Drier or suction line

TTTN2 Preparations

-

First read TTTN1

-

Disconnect battery negative lead.

-

Drain system of refrigerant according to BD and BF1. (See B above)

-

Remove fresh air intake to control module box.

TTTN3

-

Detach engine cooling fan (FC) relay and engine cooling fan (FC) motor cable from fan shroud.

-

Detach fan shroud.

-

Remove relay shelf and spacer washers.

-

Disconnect the engine cooling fan (FC) connector.

-

Disconnect the engine cooling fan (FC) motor connector.
