Replace the motor/potentiometer.
Connect the motor and potentiometer.

Install:

In reverse order.

Removing the potentiometer

Set the seat height adjustment to its uppermost position.
Remove the seat from the car according to Lifting the power seat in and out  See: Service and Repair/Replacing Seat With Seat Heater/Lifting
Power Seat In & Out
Disconnect the connectors and wiring.

Remove the two screws.

Install:

In reverse order.

Disconnecting the shaft

To remove the potentiometer, see Removing the potentiometer

Pull out the shaft.

Install:

In reverse order.
