Removing the upper section of the backrest upholstery
Remove:
-
the head restraint according to Replacing the front seat head restraints.
-
half moon clips on the inside of the rear of the backrest.
-
the rest of the half moon clips on the front.
Pull off the backrest upholstery.
Installation
Install:
In reverse order.
Position and measure the upholstery before securing.
Use special pliers, P/N 115 8962 to secure the half moon clips
Note!
When hooking the upholstery to the clips, ensure that the steel rod is not pulled up out of the foam padding. Also ensure that the steel rod
in the upholstery does not bend too much. There is a risk of lasting deformation. This will result in loose and unattractive upholstery.
