In the event of moisture in the license plate light assembly, the seal between the tailgate handle and the bodywork must be replaced. The seal is delivered
with the bulb holder and wiring pre-installed.

Removing the tailgate handle

Remove the panel and the wiper unit from the tailgate according to the method in Service Manual Section 8 (82-86, 88) Interior, exterior S70/V70 1997-

CB (wiper unit).
