To achieve correct torque, it is very important to leave a gap (A) between the vise grip and the nut.

Installing the stud in the airbag

Install the stud where the previously removed screw was located. Torque to 10 Nm (7 ft lb.).

Connecting permanent ground strip to the stud

Install the free end of the permanent ground lead on the stud and point it toward the passenger door.

Secure the ground lead with the remaining nut from the kit.

Torque to 10 Nm (7 ft lb.).
