Note!

Looking from underneath it is much easier to find the grounding terminal. Look for the black and brown wiring and follow it to the end.

Removing the screw in the airbag

Remove the outer screw (the screw nearest the passenger door, see illustration) holding the airbag.

Pre installing the stud

Take out the stud and one of the nuts supplied in the kit.

The center section of the stud is not threaded. The threaded section is longer on one end of the stud. Screw the nut into place on the longer threaded
section.

Screw the nut all the way to the bottom of the thread. Torque to 5 Nm (4 ft lb.).

Hint: Hold the unthreaded section of the stud with a vise grip while tightening the nut.
