Receiver drier, replacing

Preparatory work

Caution! First read the instructions covering slow and fast leaks.
Caution! Always plug the pipes and connections when working on the climate control system.
Caution! Always use new O-rings lubricated with compressor oil.
Removing the receiver drier
Remove the condenser. See Condenser, replacing See: Condenser HVAC/Service and Repair.
Remove:

the intermediate pipe. See Pipe receiver drier, replacing See: Hose/Line HVAC/Service and Repair/Pipe Receiver Drier, Replacing

the pipe coupling from the condenser

the screw for the bracket.
Installing the receiver drier
Note! For tightening torques, see Specifications.
Position the receiver drier in the bracket so that the pipe from the condenser is correctly positioned.
Install:

the screw for the bracket
-
the screw for the pipe connection between the condenser and the drier. Tighten.
Tighten the screw for the bracket.
Install:

the condenser. See Condenser, replacing See: Condenser HVAC/Service and Repair.
Finishing
Vacuum pump the air conditioning (A/C) system. See Vacuum pumping See: Service and Repair/Vacuum Pumping.
Fill the air conditioning (A/C) system with refrigerant. See Refrigerant, filling See: Service and Repair/Refrigerant, Filling.
Leak trace the air conditioning (A/C) system. See Leak tracing, fluorescent tracing agent / UV lamp See: Testing and Inspection/Component Tests and
