Timing Belt: Diagrams
Timing Marks

Caution: Incorrect removal or installation of the timing belt can result in damage to internal engine components.

For complete procedures refer to Timing Belt : Service and Repair :   Replacing the Timing Belt/Idler Pulley/Belt Tensioner  See: Service and
Repair

Note: Make sure that rear upper timing cover is in place and that the alignment mark on it has not been broken off.
 
 
Note:  If camshaft gears have been removed, special tools must be use to properly set engine timing.  (Crankshaft Locking Tool - 999 5451 & Camshaft
