Volvo synthetic ATF oil, P/N 1 161 317-1.
NOTE:
-
Synthetic oil can be mixed with normal ATF but the cold weather properties are greatly reduced.

When changing to synthetic oil the power steering system should be completely emptied of oil.

Repeatedly turn the steering wheel to full lock.
Top up oil if necessary.

Lower the car.

Set the parking brake.
Start engine.

Check oil level during bleeding.

Turn steering wheel slowly to the right, hold on full lock for 10 seconds.

Turn steering wheel slowly to the left, hold on full lock for 10 seconds.

Repeat 20 times.
Move car after the operation has been carried out 10 times to avoid damage to the tires.
10. Check toe-in and adjust if necessary.
11. Check power steering balance and pump pressure.
