Position the four foam rubber pieces (from the kit) on the floor on the left-hand side of the battery, as illustrated, to prevent the tow hitch rattling
when it is stored there.
Installing the bracket

Install the bracket and M6 flange nut (from the kit) on the welded screw in the compartment to the left of the battery as illustrated. Tighten to 10
Nm (7.3 lbf.ft.).
Storing the tow hitch

Remove the tow hitch and place it in the supplied protective bag. Pull the string tight

Take the tension strap from the tow hitch kit. Thread the strap through the two grooves in the rear bracket which is positioned to the left of the
battery

Place the cloth bag with the tow hitch over the bracket. Secure in position using the tension strap as illustrated.
Finishing work

Reinstall the cover and holder for the battery
-
Reinstall the spare wheel.
Applies to cars with two rows of seats

Reinstall the storage box.
Applies to cars with accessory electronic modules (AEM)

Reinstall the bracket with the accessory electronic module (AEM). Connect the connectors if disconnected.
Applies to all models

Reinstall the panels, storage boxes and floor hatches

Tighten the screws in the load securing eyelets. Tighten to 24 Nm (18 lbf.ft.).
