Insert the brake caliper on the hose and hand tighten.
Clean and install the brake pads and brake calipers. See Brake pads rear, replacing See: Disc Brake System/Brake Pad/Service and Repair/Brake Pads
Rear, Replacing.
Tighten the brake hose. Tighten. See: Tightening torque See: Specifications/Tightening Torque.

Note! The brake hose must not be twisted. If necessary alter the hose at the other end (brake pipe end).

Bleeding brake systems

Fill and bleed the brake system.

Note! Use only Volvo Genuine parts brake fluid (Volvo DOT 4+).

Finishing

Check:

-

the function of the brakes after bleeding. Check that there is no leakage

-

brake fluid level.

Depress the brake pedal a few times. Check the level of the brake fluid reservoir. Top up if necessary.
