Installing the brake pipes

Note! For tightening torques, see Specifications See: Specifications/Tightening Torque.

Note! The new brake pipe must be bent into the correct shape when installing. This is important otherwise the pipe may be subject to stresses
when it is in place.

Install:

-

the brake pipes. Tighten. See: Tightening torque See: Specifications/Tightening Torque 

-

the brake pipe and the brake hose in the bracket. Tighten. See: Tightening torque See: Specifications/Tightening Torque.

Remove the pedal jack.

Note! The brake pipe must not be in contact with the car body. The brake hose must not be twisted.

Finishing

Top up and bleed the braking system. See Brake system, bleeding (using bleeding unit) See: Brake Bleeding/Service and Repair/Brake System, Bleeding
(Using Bleeding Unit).

Testing the pressure of the brake system

Depress the brake pedal hard for 30 seconds.
Check that no leakage occurs from the brake nipples, hoses and joints.
Remedy any leakage.
Install the wheel. See Installing wheels See: Maintenance/Wheels and Tires/Wheels/Service and Repair.
