Vacuum Pump: Service and Repair

Replacing the vacuum pump

Preparatory work

Ignition off.
Disconnect the battery negative lead. See: Battery, disconnecting See: Starting and Charging/Battery/Service and Repair/Procedures/Battery,
Disconnecting.

Removing the vacuum pump

Remove:

-

the hose (1)

-

the connector (2).

-

the 2 x screws (3)

-

the pump.

Note! For tightening torques, see Specifications See: Specifications/Mechanical Specifications/Steering.

Fitting of vacuum pump

Install:

-

the pump.

-

the 2 M6 screws.

-

the hose

-

the connector.

Finishing

Install the battery negative lead according to: Battery, disconnecting See: Starting and Charging/Battery/Service and Repair/Procedures/Battery,
Disconnecting.
