Remove:

-

the soundproofing panel. See Soundproofing panel, replacing See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard / Instrument

the switch from the damper motor.

Slacken off the screws.
Pull out the damper motor slightly.
Position the point of a screwdriver between the arms on the lever control. Pry the arms away from the ball on the damper motor lever.
Remove the damper motor.

Installing the driver's side temperature damper motor

Position the damper motor.
Install the mechanism lever on the ball on the damper motor lever.
Insert the tip of a screwdriver behind the lever on the mechanism and the tip of, for example, a pair of round-nosed pliers behind the lever on the damper
motor. Press the ball into place on the mechanism.
Position the damper motor. Tighten the screws.

Carry out self-adjustment of the damper motor end positions. This is carried out via VIDA communication.
