XC90 L5-2.5L Turbo VIN 59 B5254T2 (2004)
Remove the screw for the drive shaft. Use a screwdriver as a counterhold on the brake disc.
Knock the end of the drive shaft into the hub. Use a brass drift.
Disconnect the ball joint pinion from the control arm. Use tool 999 7062 Separator See: Tools and Equipment/999 7062 Separator.
Install cap nut 7062-1 on the ball joint pinion.
Tighten the nut against the control arm.
Then turn back one turn to form a gap between the cap nut and the control arm.
Position the extractor on the control arm. Detach the ball joint from the control arm.
