Secure the spring strut in a vice.
Remove:

the nut for the shock absorber bearing. Use socket 999 5467 SOCKET See: Tools and Equipment/999 5467 Socket and a 3/8" Torx wrench as a
counterhold
-
washer
-
mounting.
Removing the spring
Take the load off the spring seat.
Use hydraulic tool 951 2911 Hydraulic piston See: Tools and Equipment/951 2911 Hydraulic Piston with 951 2914 Claw See: Tools and Equipment/951
2914 Claw.
Remove:
-
the securing nut on the shock absorber. Use socket 999 5469 SOCKET See: Tools and Equipment/999 5469 Socket and a 3/8" Torx wrench as a
counterhold

the spring seat
-
the spring
-
the rubber bump stop and gaiter.
