Check that the clip is positioned in the groove as illustrated.
Installing the gear selector cable on the gearbox
Install:

the cable on the bracket. Press it so that it locks

the ball joint for the cable on the lever. Press into place by hand.
Note! The cable must be adjusted after replacement. See Gear selector cables, adjusting, TF-80SC AWD See: Adjustments.
