Preparatory work
To remove drive shafts, see Drive shaft rear, replacing .
Removing the drive shaft seal
Use a jimmy bar to carefully remove the seal.
Installing the drive shaft seal
Lubricate the lip of the new seal using wheel bearing grease, P/N 116 1251 (400 g).
Use tool 999 5591 Punch See: Tools and Equipment/999 5591 Punch.
Note! It is important that the seal is positioned correctly. The positions differ between the left and right-hand sides. See below.
